Betsi Ewing is an Aspen wedding photographer and videographer specializing in editorial, emotional coverage at the most iconic venues in the Roaring Fork Valley. Aspen is one of the most extraordinary places in the world to get married. The mountain light, the alpine landscape, the intimate scale of the town itself, everything about Aspen makes for a wedding day that feels unlike anywhere else.

My work is clean, bright, and emotional. I focus on real moments, quiet connection, and the kind of images that feel true to the day rather than staged for the camera. Whether your wedding is an intimate elopement on Aspen Mountain or a grand celebration at one of the valley's luxury resorts, I bring the same calm, intentional presence to every couple's day.

I also photograph weddings in Vail and across Colorado, as well as elopements in Aspen for couples who want an intimate experience in the mountains. I offer both wedding photography and videography so you can have your full day covered by one team.

Wedding Photography in Aspen, Colorado

Aspen offers a rare combination of world class venues, dramatic natural scenery, and a refined mountain atmosphere that translates beautifully into photographs. I have worked across the full range of what Aspen has to offer, from sweeping mountaintop ceremonies to elegant resort celebrations, intimate elopements at Maroon Bells, and editorial shoots throughout downtown.

With deep familiarity across every season and setting in Aspen, I understand how the light moves throughout the day, how weather can shift quickly at altitude, and how to stay composed and present no matter what the mountain gives us. That experience is what allows me to capture your day with confidence, intention, and a creative eye that never feels forced.

Betsi Ewing Weddings offers both wedding photography and videography in Aspen, and many couples choose both for a complete record of their celebration. Our work has been featured in Rocky Mountain Bride Magazine.

Let's Plan Your Aspen Wedding

Working with Betsi Ewing Weddings means a calm, collaborative experience from the first inquiry to the final gallery delivery. I am not a photographer who directs your day or asks you to pose endlessly. My approach is to move through your wedding with intention, anticipating moments before they happen and stepping back when they do.

Before your wedding day, we connect to discuss timeline, venue flow, lighting, and any details that matter most to you. On the day itself, I arrive with a clear plan and the flexibility to adapt to whatever the mountain gives us. After your wedding, your full edited gallery is delivered within two weeks.

I book a limited number of weddings each year so that every couple receives my full attention. Aspen summer and fall dates fill quickly, often 12 to 18 months in advance. If you are considering a 2026 or 2027 Aspen wedding, now is a great time to reach out.

Aspen Wedding Venues We Love

The Little Nell is Aspen's only five star, five diamond hotel and one of the most sought after wedding venues in Colorado. I have photographed weddings here across every season and know how to use the sundeck, the dining spaces, and the Aspen Mountain backdrop to create images that feel both timeless and effortless.

T Lazy 7 Ranch sits at the gateway to the Maroon Bells, with wide open pasture and some of the most dramatic mountain backdrops in Colorado. I have photographed weddings at T Lazy 7 and love how the working ranch setting lends itself to full weekend celebrations with incredible natural light.

Hotel Jerome is Aspen's original landmark hotel, dating to 1889, with a historic brick facade, candlelit interiors, and a central downtown location. I have photographed weddings throughout the property including the Grand Ballroom, the J-Bar, and the hotel's courtyard.

Pine Creek Cookhouse is tucked into the Elk Mountains above Aspen in the Castle Creek Valley, offering a setting that is rugged, romantic, and completely unlike anything else in the area. I have photographed and videographed Pine Creek Cookhouse weddings in every season and know how the light shifts from alpine mornings to the long golden hours of early evening.

The St. Regis Aspen Resort sits at the base of Aspen Mountain with sweeping views of the Elk Range and some of the most elegant event spaces in the valley. I have photographed weddings throughout the resort including the outdoor terrace, the ballroom, and the surrounding aspen groves.

Beyond these venues, I also photograph and film weddings at private estates, boutique hotels, and intimate elopement locations throughout the Roaring Fork Valley. If you have a venue in mind, I would love to hear about it.
