Kontokosta Winery, Greenport Wedding

Kontokosta Winery sits at the edge of the North Fork where the vineyard rows meet the Long Island Sound, and there is genuinely nowhere else like it for a wedding. The light out there is something else entirely, golden, soft, and consistent in a way that makes every part of the day feel like it was designed for photographs. I've photographed multiple weddings here and I am always finding new corners of this property that take my breath away.

The venue itself gives you everything: a ceremony lawn with water views, a rustic barrel room for cocktail hour, and open-air reception space that glows at night. What makes Kontokosta special beyond the location is that it attracts couples who love the North Fork lifestyle — relaxed but refined, with a real appreciation for food, wine, and celebrating the way you actually live. Those are my favorite weddings to photograph and film.

Greenport is a perfect anchor for a full wedding weekend on the North Fork of Long Island. The town has a historic seaport feel with genuinely great restaurants, wine tasting at nearby vineyards, and the kind of relaxed charm that makes guests actually want to linger. For couples who want something outside of the city that still feels elevated, the North Fork delivers every time.

As a Long Island wedding photographer with deep experience at Kontokosta Winery, I bring both venue knowledge and a calm, editorial eye to every celebration here. If you're planning a Kontokosta wedding and want photography and videography that captures every detail, I'd love to hear more about your day.

Ava and Connor, Kontokosta Winery Wedding

Ava and Connor's story and Kontokosta's story are pretty much the same story. Ava grew up spending summers on the South Fork, and when Connor started joining her on Long Island, the two fell in love with the North Fork, specifically Greenport and the vineyards surrounding it. Their first visit to Kontokosta Winery in 2016 left a real impression. They both knew then that if they ever got married, that was the place.

After touring several North Fork venues, they kept coming back to Kontokosta. It was the only place they could truly see themselves. Their October wedding brought 250 of their closest family and friends together for a full day at the vineyard, ceremony on the lawn with the Sound in the background, cocktail hour among the barrels, and a reception under the open sky as the sun went down over the water. October light at Kontokosta is genuinely spectacular, and it showed in every frame.

If you're also exploring venues along the Sound, I photograph many weddings at Peconic Bay Yacht Club as well, another North Fork favorite just down the water. If you are dreaming of something more intimate, I also photograph New York elopements throughout the city and state.
