An Experienced Colorado Wedding Photographer with an Editorial Approach

My approach to wedding photography is calm, intentional, and grounded in presence. I believe the most meaningful images come from allowing the day to unfold naturally, with gentle guidance when needed and space for real moments to happen without interruption.

Photographing weddings in Colorado requires an understanding of light, landscape, and flow, especially in mountain and destination settings. From shifting weather to wide open outdoor venues, I work thoughtfully within each environment to create imagery that feels effortless, emotional, and true to the experience of being there.

Whether documenting a wedding day or a Colorado engagement session, my focus remains the same: honest connection, refined composition, and images that feel timeless rather than trendy. Each celebration and session is approached with care, collaboration, and attention to the details that make it uniquely yours.

Meet Betsi Ewing

Hello, I'm Betsi! I tend to wear my heart on my sleeve, and believe there is nothing more compelling than real life and real love. Celebrating them both through the art of photography and film is truly a dream! The emotional connection I build with the people I work with drives me. This connection is always based on trust, compassion, and my ability to bring out the best in my couples and the ones they love. I honor those connections by combining documentary and editorial photography and videography to create meaningful and memorable work.

I photograph weddings and elopements throughout the U.S. and worldwide, with a focus on weddings in Aspen, Telluride, Vail and other Colorado destinations.

What are the best wedding venues in Colorado?

What is the best time of year to get married in Colorado?

Colorado is stunning year round, but late summer and early fall (July through October) tend to offer the most reliable weather, peak foliage, and golden light. June and September are especially popular. Winter weddings in mountain towns like Aspen and Vail have their own magic, with snow covered landscapes and cozy venues.

Do you photograph elopements in Colorado?

Absolutely. Colorado is one of the most sought after destinations for intimate elopements and micro weddings, and it is one of our specialties. Whether you are envisioning a sunrise ceremony at Maroon Bells, a cliffside exchange in the Rockies, or an intimate dinner in a mountain town, we would love to document it. You can learn more about my Colorado elopement photography packages here.

Do you travel throughout Colorado or only to major cities?

We photograph throughout the entire state including Aspen, Vail, Denver, Boulder, Telluride, Breckenridge, Steamboat Springs, and beyond. Travel is our favorite part of what we do, and no Colorado location is too remote.
